I don’t have the best picture of this recipe because my husband ate half of this (by himself!) in one sitting before I remembered to take a photo! He especially like this with ice cream. I used frozen blackberries in mine, but I am going to try it with other fruits too.

One of my favorite things about this dessert is the short ingredient list. This one has just 5 ingredients - milk, butter, sugar, self-rising flour and blackberries. I was a bit alarmed at pouring 1/4 a cup of sugar over the top of this thing in addition to the 1 C. already in the batter, but it wasn’t overly sweet . (Though I don’t want to know how many calories this thing has! It can count as a fruit, right?)
